almost the weekend

I am so ready. The week was over after wednesday lab anyway. I'm ready for a break, and to be better for the coming week. Still have some stuff to do, nominal anyway. Limits are fun? haha.

So it should be fun, and apparently creating Yu-Loung's schedule should be fun. If only he could tell me how to be more effective. I think I need to learn all of those 7 habits, for I currently possess none. eep. That's about it. Have a good little break. And then back to work. Goodluck.

end of week

So the end of the week, and the lovely warm weekend, signifies another week beginning. Which should be ok. or something resembling an OK.

The Worst Day is Coming...

So... apparently some hotshots figured out, ahem - calculated, the worst day of the year. It's coming on this very Monday. Neat huh? Also note the neat acronyms in the article, SAD being the Winter Depression Disorder and so on.

I'm ready. Are you?

haha. Worst Day Article Here. Just Click.

hoorah

School is fun. Not bad at all. Not stressed yet. Had a nice night-time activity filled with people, frozen yogurt, people, books, people. Fun for all. That's it for now. Back to the reading. hehe.

back

It's interesting in fact, but I am really back. School remains to seem the same, but I'll see all about that during classes tomorrow. Unpacked and am now ready. Well, sort of ready to any extent.

School is fun. I have to keep telling myself that. Here we go. Whoosh.

Was Fun

Saw tons of people whom I used to know, and of course still do. Saw In Good Company, which was good. Did the typical eating thing, twice this time. Said happy birthday to Irene for her birthday, which is coming up soon. Gave presents out appropriately.

Today went shopping. Bought tons of things, some crap, some not. Fun either way. Now I've got packing and forms left to do. My favorite things in the world. And collected quarters from my dad's stash for laundry. hehe. "collected."

And I'm almost done with Hostile Hospital, so this is good too. And I think I read it before. Eep. A few more to read after it. Or something like that.

Lotsa fun

Had lots of fun yesterday walking around in the snow with Anna downtown. Even if the snow hurt my face. Hehe. Went to Newberry Library after reading the book Time Traveler's Wife, but unfortunately we weren't as obsessed as the other lady on the tour. Anyhow it was fun, and we did shopping, or mock shopping, etc, and eating of course. A typical fun day. And I was early. But that's besides the point, becuase I waited inside the train station so it wasn't cold, only the slightest bit creepy. Hoorah.

And today should be fun once it gets started and once the plans unfold in the correct manner.

The Days

These are the days when I should be doing something. Eh.

Anyway.... interesting news? The bank is all messed up. I got papers in the mail trying to have me buy wigs for my salon. Do I have a salon? Do I not have any hair and need a wig? If anyone does, please feel free to email me and I'll forward the appropriate information. haha.

Saw "Garden State" the movie. I can't say at this point whether it was excellent or not. But I do have to agree with Anna and say that the music was good. An interesting entertainment moment at any rate. Now it must be returned. And all that crap about no late fees is a lie. I read all the little print. Hey- I had nothing else to do. Toodles for now then.

Kite Runner

Wow. I haven't read a book like this for a long time. But I have to say that everyone who said this book was super was right. Well written, touching, and the fact of reality behind it although it is fiction. It's amazing the things that happens to people, the things they instigate, and the way people look at the different situations. Ah. Read it yourself, as it is truly touching and worthwhile.

And if you didn't know what it was about - it's about a man from Afghanistan. And the series of events that make up his life. Eh. Just go to amazon.com to find out for yourself.

New News

So there really isn't any new news. Kinda a catchy title to any extent. Still snow outside, they somehow keep refusing to plow our block. Makes me want to not leave the house. Ah. Eh. Started reading a new book, should keep me occupied for quite a while.

Watched the entirety of the movie Labyrinth which wasn't bad at all. A semi-older kind of movie, with David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly. A movie for children that kept me entertained. And longer than I ever would have expected.

Ah... and something else I've found on the internet - examine fattest city number 5. haha.

Upward, not Northward

So Flatland has been finished. And I do have to say that it was interesting and held my attention. Except for that nap halfway through. Haha. Good good book. And I feel a bit accomplished. Enlightened? Maybe not. I did already understand the concept of space, and the need for the additional dimensions, or the space within in memory for them.

AH. Life goes on.

Flatland

So I haven't yet finished Flatland, but I'm well on my way. An interesting book by any extent, and thanks to Tia for the fabulous idea. Not bad at all I must say, good book taste. Where the music taste went however... haha. Anyway. I'll tell more when it's all finished up.

Something I'd thought was slightly humorous:
What therefore "introduction" is among the higher classes in Spacelend, that the process of "feeling" is with us. "Permit me to ask you to feel and be felt by my friend Mr. So-and-so" - is still, among the more old-fashioned of our country gentlement in districts remote from towns, the customary formula for a Flatland introduction.

snow

so... there's snow. and it's cold. and it's hard to drive. especially hard to drive. getting stuck outside of the garage wasn't exactly the highlight of the day.

However - I did get to hang out with two old friends - or still friends, Megan and Elaine. Yup. Ate, saw movies and ate again. Typical, but fun.

Got to get the snow to melt now so I can go back to everyday stuff. Like hanging out in my house. Eh. So be it. Let the snow melt and the plans begin.

Daily Activities

Encompassed by being lazy once again. Saw "Stage Beauty" and "Shattered Glass" today. Movies. Interesting I'd say. The second being more serious than the first, about fabricating articles.

Nothing fabulous. Must get to my stack of books anyway. One of them ought to be great great.

More Book Lust

Book Lust

Book Lust - the link on amazon

A book I need to read? Oi. Check the site yourself for a description. I think this could turn out to be a good thing or perhaps a bad thing. Reading is good, but if I read this book it might inspire me to take a turn for the worse. Reading all things great. Hmm....

Book Lust: Chick Lit

Book Lust: Chick Lit

Books to read? Maybe, if I'm ever in the mood. I have read some - and it's not like they were poor pieces of literature per se.

Thought it was interesting enough to post, and I found the librarian thing here too. Check the post below to see that!

LibrarianActionFigure.com

Something kind of neat.. huh?
And funny looking...

But check out the neat quote: (stolen from the site)

I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library.

Change

Time for a change don't you think?

So I did it and it's done. I kinda like it. But that's my opinion as usual. Biased and the like.

And I realized how much fun junk can be. I found a bag full on my desk, apparently from "cleaning" before I left. Neato. Too bad I can barely make myself throw stuff away. Aw.

ok - another

So I just couldn't help myself to write another. Break should still be fun, yada-yada, but sometimes don't you feel different now. I think I just do. Out of the loop or something. Everyone's got their own stuff going on, as they should - not that I believe otherwise, but it still makes everything seem different. Have "we", the universal "we", changed? Is it really just me? Or is it something beyond me, something that I couldn't even expect. Oh. Darn. I think this is a book's doing as usual. And what about evil do you ask? haha. Don't even bother.

It's just a feeling... I don't really get it and everything. Life goes on. Carry on.

hmph

So apparently I'm not so on top of things. Eh. Sorry to anyone who I didn't write or didn't call. eep. And I didn't even write here... but now I am. There you go. HMPH.

So back at home once more, two weeks to relax and have a nice time. I only hope that I do have a nice time. Lots of city stuff to enjoy, cause I think that's what I've been missing.

Have a nice break, and enjoy the time till classes resume. Sounds good huh? :)
