driven up the wall.

The Company: I don't know what I expected, but a true dissapointment unless you want to watch them dance around for most of the movie. Thought there'd be more revealing stuff about the dance company, but no. Pretty colorful though.

Serenity: OK. Better after the show for the movie itself was lacking. Good to end the show though, considering it didn't end with anything really. And satisfying for the cult I suppose.

The party season is almost over thank goodness, and I'm seemingly ready to go. And I've bought more books, always a highlight. Still still to bored to read them. And my huge magazine stack is almost finished, so I'll be off and reading them soon enough.

More movies...

Mad Hot Ballroom: very cute, very happy for the kids who were taught dance in grade 5. Makes me kind of sad that I dislike the dance teacher at Claremont so.

King Kong: Big and loud and long. And great. It really is such a touching story, although everyone knows what's to happen to our friend the gorilla in the end. Beautiful nonetheless.

Spirit in the Sky!

Twas the night before Christmas... and oh man, I don't do that.

Instead went to see King Kong. A terrific movie, a bit ashamed to go with my brother, but this is life.

In the words of Norman Greenbaum

Going up to the spirit in the sky;
That's where I'm gonna go when I die.
When I die and they lay me to rest,
I'm gonna go to the place that's the best.

(without the jesus bit, because I'm not one of those Jews for Jesus.)

dodo what?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/4556928.stm

The dodo was found, or at least its bones were. I remember this bird being discovered in the dictionary perhaps and was the creativity for a game invented a long time ago. It was also the butt of our jokes. Poor bird becoming extinct and all.

Christmas, ah.

Reminiscent of the story of Jesus' birth we heard on NPR. ON NPR. How's that for non-religious america.

the sun.

So. The power extends beyond friends. To mother nature! And the sun. It melted a good bit of the ice, so now it's just dirty dirty Chicago as usual. And with the sun comes happiness? We hope so.

Saw Memoirs of a Geisha. I thought it excellent. Anna thought it colorful and pretty looking. She thought it was good too, but it really was just too wonderful for words. And since we didn't know what was coming, it really makes the movie better. Happy too, making it fabulous!

the power.

Turns out friendship is a mighty fine thing. And it's power is fabulous. Thanks to all of you who really care.

Watched Sense and Sensibility, which is a good movie I suppose given that I think I've seen it before, and never took the time to finish the book. But at least I tried to read the book, and that's a good thing of course.

If only I wasn't feeling so lazy, then I could start the stack of books I've got piled all up pretty like...

Symmetry in a mate?

A BBC news article:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/4550000.stm

They said it was not clear whether it was the degree of symmetry itself, or an associated characteristic such as co-ordination, or the abilities needed to perform a complicated dance move - or better rhythm, was the key.

They add: "Does dance ability correlate with reproductive success? We plan to address this question with long-term data from the same study population."

Dr George Fieldman, a psychologist at Buckingham Chilterns University College who specialises in research into sexual attraction, said: "It's certainly true that people look for symmetry in a mate.

song

You've Got To Hide Your Love Away
Lennon/McCartney

Here I stand head in hand
Turn my face to the wall
If she's gone I can't go on
Feeling two foot small
Everywhere people stare
each and every day
I can see them laugh at me
And I hear them say

Hey you've got to hide your love away
Hey you've got to hide your love away

How can I even try?
I can never win
Hearing them, seeing them
In the state I'm in
How could she say to me
"Love will find a way?"
Gather round all you clowns
Let me hear you say

Hey you've got to hide your love away
Hey you've got to hide your love away

Sad

No - this isn't seasonal affective disorder. Just the regular kind. Plain ole sad, perhaps with a bit of torn up as well.

Given up?

Ah. Not so far as to say yes, however I seemed to have wholly slacked off all semester. Consider me not done, but perhaps done with the book blog. I'll just put them here to save myself the trouble :).

Semster was good, finished thank goodness, and that's perhaps the best part of all. Now home in Chicago once more with almost nothing to do.

Watched Great Expectations (BBC series) which was very interesting, and especially considering I hadn't read the book (shame on me? But Dickens is sometimes so dull.) the ending was fascinating. And good thing for the old man BBC commentator letting me know what was going on!

Read The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera while traveling home. Recommended by Kenji, but the book was most strange. And after talking to the people sitting next to me on the plane (two girls who had studied abroad in a theology school in jamaica), I almost felt bad. Such a interesting book comparing love and the love of love and so on. Maybe I did miss the point, I'll have to ask someone who's read it, unless someone wants to tell me. Oi.

And it's freezing.

Daily Activities and It Runs in the Family

I’ve spent the past few days sitting around the house mostly, with the exception of yesterday, and a few odd events along the way.  Yesterday Kristina came and we went to Penny’s Noodles to be met by Aya and her mother, and we all had lunch together.  Then Kristina and I came back to the house and watched TV and read the newspaper and hung out basically.  I went to the library a few days ago also, checked out some crocheting books, which I copied patterns out of, and a fiction novel which I finished off in 2 hours or so, but isn’t really worth mentioning.

Rented It Runs in the Family yesterday and watched it during dinner with my brother.  It was a really interesting movie about a jewish family that was highly dysfunctional and had a whole lot of things going on at once.  I also liked the ending which was pretty much open, which sometimes I don’t appreciate, however it worked well I thought.  It wasn’t all that crappy, and although in the “comedy” section – wasn’t all that funny either.  But a good movie I’ll say.

I’m pretty much packed, up to 44 pounds for my suitcase, cutting it a bit close… and leaving tonight for California.  I’ve packed my bags, and I’m ready to go… [isn’t that some song??].

Elementary School friends, then the Air and Water Show

Elementary school friends are definitely of a different caliber, or lie on a different place on the friend/relationship scale.  I spent the whole day [Saturday] with 3 others, and some of the day with one other who had to leave early, but we spent it in the usual fashion – meeting for lunch, seeing a movie, schmoozing outside for quite some time, relaxing back in someone’s house, eating more, talking more.. until we have to go.  It’s an interesting thing to feel so comfortable, but it makes sense considering I’ve known them since 1st grade, or in Elaine’s case – since 7th.

We saw Must Love Dogs, a super cute romantic comedy movie that was touching and adorable and all things otherwise that’d come to your mind.  There were some really funny parts, made us debate internet dating as a valid form to find someone to spend one’s life with, and made us all warm and fuzzy inside.  Movies like this, although they may remain in some peoples “closets”  (aka – they have a secret love for the movie), are made to be enjoyed the way they are.  Not educational or really meaningful, but nice and sweet.

It really was a fun day.

Sunday I spent most of lounging around, but then we went to the air and water show on the roof of some building nearby the beach.  It really was a great view, and I have lots of photos of the landscape around, and only a few of the parachute jumpers.  OK, the planes are really tiny and just big in their loudness and I knew the pictures would be useless anyway.

Photos will be put up here.  See for yourself.

Friday - day

A day spent out of the house is tiring.  Went shopping with David to many stores.  I bought some wonderful crocheting cotton only to find when I got home that there are two kinds of size 8 needles.  Now I need to go back to Jo-Ann’s, which is moving and thus has all of their things on super clearance, to buy the right kinds.  My crocheting is quite fun actually, made 1/5 of a scarf to see if I liked how it was going to look… and since I did I started with the 100 stitches to begin.  If only it would thicken out a bit faster.  I think it needs new yarn (to get at the store when I go again).

Other than that, I went to Kristina’s house and met her and Aya and we talked and sat and watched TV and had fun.  Went to Blockbuster, but being the indecisive people that we are, reached no conclusion and went back with our hands empty.  Sat around some more, and then it was already late and time to go.  Aya and I played a dangerous game on the way home – car tag, or let’s see if we can see inside the other car as we drive at 55 miles per hour on the highway home.  And we did… and I think one of the pictures I took may have come out.  I was laughing almost the whole time.  Silly, yet oddly comforting.  It’s nice to think that almost nothing can be enjoyable like that, enjoyable even though we weren’t exactly together, just the idea of it.  Simple fun.

Now -- if only I had thought to roll down the window the entire way. Darn.

A week of activities...

So there’s this new plug in for Microsoft Word that allows me to post my blogger entries right from it without having to type them in online.  Guess what?  That means no more spelling errors.  Cool.  Now I’m back in Chicago (as of Saturday/Sunday actually) and have been meeting people almost nonstop.

Monday … Irene and Andreea, first for breakfast at a place in Lincoln Park called “Toast.”  Then we went to my house, played too many games of Rummikub and later went off our separate ways.  Or they did, considering I lived there after all.

Tuesday … Anna and I planned on going to a museum around 2ish, but then since I got a quick call saying it was time to see Megan and Elaine, I went off to Andersonville hoping for some nice cinnamon rolls at Ann Sathers.  Only, they aren’t open on Tuesday (those pigs!).  So we went to some other Swedish place across the street that was sufficient enough.  Then I drove to Anna’s house, seeing as how I was already nearby, planned to go off the museum only to get a call from some other high school friends who we met up with for lunch.  Irene (again), Cody, Julie, Garret, and us all had lunch, talked a bit, and left.  Then Anna and I went to the museum – Museum of Contemporary Art (downtown), walked around until their free hours opened, and saw some neat stuff.  The exhibit on display there was some man who worked with modern, industrial materials – aka fluorescent lighting.  It was neat, the structures he made, the colors chosen, and the way art should be.  The tour guide said something about how he didn’t want people to stop and stare at his art, that it really didn’t have that much meaning, and that’s how I think it should be too.  So the exhibit was great really.  And you can’t beat anything free downtown.  And a tasty dinner with noodles.  Yum.

Wednesday:  The beach with Irene and Andreea and Iris too.  Made a sand alligator, and the other pictures need some work before being put up.  Alligator will follow at the end of the post perhaps.  Was sunny and warm and nice, and we walked way too much around, but all in all it was fun.

Thursday:  (today) Finished The Mermaid Chair, read here to check out what I thought.  Anna and I met up, walked quickly through the rain to the CTA bus together, went inside the Adler Planetarium, which is so way cooler than I remember.  The exhibits were nice, as were two of the three movie-like things we passed through the exhibit.  Well done I’d say, and kept us interested for perhaps too long.  Lots of hands on types of things, good for the kiddies, some of which was too childish for the likes of us.  Then we went outside only to find it hot, sunny, and humid.  Took a walk until we found where the free trolley existed, took it to the Art Institute (we ate across the street).  Walked the wrong way, then the right way to Millennium Park, saw all the neat stuff there, listened to some orchestra and choir practicing, walked through the garden areas, walked over the metallic bridge that’s snaked shaped, and back to the train to go home.  What a day…

All this seeing of people makes me think back.  Someone on one of these days said they hated to think back, glad that it was all over, when the other person commented that it was nice to reminisce.  I don’t think I stand on either side, seeing as how I blocked out a good chunk of information, just because I thought it unnecessary, unlikable, or something else.  But the activities kept me busy, active (walking is still active, yes), and having fun.  And it’s nice to not have to think about a whole lot of crap including work that probably won’t make a difference in the long run anyway.  I just have to say that fun really is great.  And it’s been a long time since I’ve done so much blabbing on that maybe I’m turning into one of those people who loves the sound of their own voice.  Oh God, I hope not.  I hate those people, gah.  Let’s leave it here, because I’ve bored myself in writing this all out already, and it is now night time and thus sleep time already.  Signing off…

Last Weekend-ish

Grandfathers 95th birthday led me to Florida for the weekend. Lots of family came, some who I barely remembered from times when I was at my grandparents house in the winter or something. On the plane flight I watched Madagascar which was OK for listening to while I read a magazine. There was a birthday celebration the following day where I saw all those people mentioned above. It's interesting to see some of these people, I think --> I'm learning more and more about my family from their discusssions. After the lunch party, I went back to my grandparents house with my aunt and eventually her cousin Martin and his wife Bonnie. My cousins too I'd suppose. They talked about their adventure club, about their parents, about cars they had back in the day. The stories were amazing, and some even fairly unbelievable.

My grandparents (remember old old now) recalled a story in which they took their adventure club on a cruise ship. Adventure Club = surprise event planned by one couple in a group of 12 or so, that had to be cheap, include fun and dinner. They packed up sandwiches, drinks etc. and actually went onto the cruise ship for something that they used to have [ but not anymore thanks to heightened security...] - a bon voyage party, where the people on the ship would meet each other beforehand. So they get on with their food, there is a band on the boat, and they leave right before the ship leaves. My grandparents must have been the funnest people on the planet. They used to have to dress up for this stuff - as shoeshiners, in fancy clothes -- only to be told they'd be plucking the chickens for their own dinner, but all in all they had a blast. They laughed so much, it just made me hungry for more.

The tradition in my family at this point is cards. Think real games and not poker. May I? a game invented by my aunt partly is a sort of mix between gin and well -- more rules. All in all we played I think 4 games of May I? as well as 4 of Spite and Malice [ a great 2 person game ].

Went home on Monday morning, to watch Monster-in-law on the plane (which was ironic considering I'd see it again on my way from LAX to Chicago). And that was OK too.

Made it home, finished Robots the movie, finished I Heart Huckabees (which was partly a let down, after all the hubbub). Anyway, it's good to see people having fun, and it's really good to get to hear all the stories before it's too late. I think I had startling thoughts when I went to bed about waking up and finding that my grandfather had just let go of life. But he's still a fighter and strong as you couldn't imagine.

And what should I do?

And what? oi. So instead of who knows what I watched The Pacifier. yeah yeah, stupid I know, but instead of doing whatever it was that I was supposed to be doing, I ate and ate (ok, so just dinner), and then watched right on along. And I have to prepare for some camping tomorrow, and then off to Florida for a 95th. Suppose I should get out and buy a card and whatnot that's needed. And return that book to the library. Well I suppose I'll be off and do all that stuff now. If only... eh. Life is tough enough. Back to things as normal.

Mad Science

The camp. Pictures are part of this post. And the camp was written up in the "Inland Valley Daily Bulletin." Pretty neat, and it also made for some good contacts for me as well, which is always a great thing.

The Polar Express

A summer movie yeah? I thought it was just the thing for after spending the day in the heat outside (or not the whole day really, more like until 1). The movie itself was not too shabby, I thought it was well done, and reminded me of the book. Can you believe Jewish parents would buy their daughter this book? I'm not so sure, maybe it was a gift, but I distinctly remember having this book read to me, and reading it (ok, it was just pictures I believe)... Strange huh? Well that and my dad saying he was Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and a whole slew of other religious figures including God. haha. Funny guy? And something about the gatekeeper for purgatory. Although I never really figured what that meant until I was a bit older than a child child. Ah well, life is funny sometimes.

Because of Winn-Dixie

A cute movie, just about how a dog can bring people together and so on. It was entertaining and nice, not the greatest most moving movie ever - but we don't really need those all the time. Something like this movie really just does the trick.

new camp and randomness

The camp for this week, Monday through Thursday is a day camp called Mad Science. Julie and I (she's the other "Mad Scientist") made t-shirts for this camp, pretty neat and all, and we're running the science stations for all the girls. The experiment like things are pretty fun, the girls are working towards 6 or so patches/badges, which is supposed to be amazing, and they're loving the science. This is how girls should be learning and experiencing this sort of thing. They loved asking questions - so many why why why questions that I couldn't even try to answer some. I mean --> "where does the word science come from?" and "who invented science?" really have no answers. If you know, reply and I'll forward the answers on to the girls. Should be taking some pictures later in the week after I stop to take a breath from the busy-ness and snap some.

Yesterday was a drive to the airport day, today was a F&M discussion day with a trip to Sprague (close) and Honnold-Mudd library (further or is it farther). Now I have a stack of 5 books to get my reading on with. Going to celebrate grandfathers 95th birthday in FL soon, that should be great too.

For now --> some reading, more camps, and who else knows what. If only I weren't so tired. Whoowee. Spread the fun around...

Club Adventure

Camp was... Thursday through Sunday. We went up into the mountains to a property called "Twin Valleys" in Wrightwood (in case you know where that is after all). A rundown of the whole weekend is shortened and is below. Camp was very fun, makes me almost wish I had stuck it out with OSRUI becoming Avodah (camp help) and then onto counselor, etc. But now I have school and then hopefully internships and engineering things to fill the summer with, so I guess that hope has flown its coop.

Pictures above, then a quick story or two below this line.

So the camp is about one hour and a bit away, but of course the school bus we're on (on the way up to camp) breaks down and overheats, leaving us on the freeway broken for a while, and then stuck being hot all the way up to the camp site. Camp site is pretty nice considering I didn't know what to expect. Cabin, showerhouses, and outhouses not bad overall, and we pitched tents right away. I was with the older aged girls, going into grades 5-7 I think if I'm not too mistaken. We had plenty to eat, a long hike, crafts to do, a day at the lake with fishing and canoeing, and then finally a trip (quickly, thank goodness) back home. Fun I'll say.

Harry Potter and more camping

So if you're an intellegent human being, you should know that the night before last I was there buying HP number 6. haha. Barnes and Noble was semi-crowded, but luckily it was all reserved, and it wasn't too bad a wait. Finished the book yesterday... visit here to read about what I thought. I'm not going to spoil it or anything so don't worry.

As far as this past week goes, I had camp all week. Some pictures to go up later, but not too many due to dying batteries. It was a real live girl scout camp in my opinion, well put together, and fun for the girls and me, at least semi-fun - which is great in this case. I was their leader, which meant I got to do all the fun stuff and be large and in charge too. An interesting change from the other camps where I was a mere helper. I've got a picture frame (and two pictures... odd huh?), a bag of swapies (things you trade with other groups, some were quite cute), and a lot of memories. Not too shabby huh?

That's about it, another weekend off followed by even more camps, a true away for 4 days camp, a variety of meetings, and the possibility of a visit maybe... if only.. Anyway, that's about it for now, hope all is well.

Hitch

Another movie watched. Kind of cute, yet would have been better if a bit more original. Reminded me of "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days." Eh. Still kind of cute anyway.

Girl Scout camp, a serious one I might add, started today. My two crafts fell apart, but luckily my aids amended that quickly. Thank goodness for younger girls who know their stuff. Pictures up later I hope. Other than that, I'm kind of tired from all that effort... only to continue till Friday when even another camp starts. Fun.

Bewitched (the movie)

Ah. Did I love this show when I was a kid. I loved all those old nick at nite reruns, which they've taken off the air for crappy reruns. Darn them. Anyway, this movie -- cliche but cute. I like when things are pretty and colorful and loving and cute. I'm just a sucker. Not the greatest movie of all time, but entertaining.

House of Flying Daggers

Watched this today too. Not too bad, the cinematics and music were great, but the movie was a bit slow and had way too many parts of just riding or swordfighting which wans't that great after much of the same with similar type movies. Crouching Tiger.. was better I think. This one had snow at the end though, which I thought was a fabulous touch, although I did wonder where it came from. Not too shabby.

Fireworks on the 4th of July. Bang bang. And the loudness just bounced off the CMC towers and sounded way so loud. Wow. Posted by Picasa

Internet Addiction, have you got it?

Read this article here. Wowser. I'll let it speak for itself, but this is what I see happening with thefacebook.com and a variety of other websites that love to hook you in. But these people have serious serious problems, so if you think it's you, just wean off. I mean books are great too!

Mr. and Mrs. Smith

Saw the movie, thought it kind of long (considering I was also hungry the entire time), and suppose I'd say -- not so good. There wasn't even that much action for an action movie, not enough killing I'd say...

It was just eh.

lack of posts

This must mean I'm gone right. Or not. Had "world neighbors" camp this week, only to find out that I'm not a leader, or a helper with kids, but rather a helper in the kitchen for the cooking section. Cooking makes me too warm, and the little kids hate to stand at the stove, and I had to. Waa Waa. Ok, so it wasn't really all that bad, and it was kind of fun, even if the camp was run poorly and some of the people acted inappropriately. At least I ate well, sometimes anyway.

Today... went to the GS (girl scouts) council (office) and helped make up the incentives for neighborhoods. You know they sell those delicious cookies, and get nice little gifts in return, like when you sold stuff for school and all that jazz.

Then... Four wisdom teeth removed. Ow. But this dentist was pretty good, the needle putting in guy wasn't half bad, but it's aching only just now. And on July 4th weekend too. PooPoo. Ah, celebrating the country with blood -- hey blood is red, that's an americanish color...

Girl Scout Camp 1 - Cooking and Crafting, a picture of the girls in my group... Posted by Hello

Puzzle Championships, missed again...

Oh. So after seeing a bit of this on my google homepage, I click away only to find that the time has passed. I remember seeing this last year and thinking how cool, but alas -- I missed the date again. See for yourself. Eh.

Other than that the camp has been fun, starting on Monday with some delicious smores, we've moved on in "cooking and crafting" to now doing borwnies and toffee ( I think ). The girls are all nice and cute and fun, and I'm glad it's all coming together. Hoorah. And pictures from my new camera soon enough.

I've been to busy to post?

Ah. What the hell happened to me?

I suppose I'm a Naruto addict. For those who don't know, Naruto is a Japanese TV Cartoon, and yes, you may know my loathsome nature towards cartoons, but eh. It happens I suppose, after all that anger anyway.

My first earthquake ever was quite interesting, it seems I slept through the real first one, so that one was promptly ignored. The other was about 2 days ago, real small, for a minute like. I was sitting at the computer, thinking people were jumping up and down or moving crap around the suite, but to my surprise, when driving back to work, I heard that it was an earthquake -- cool! Not so cool for the stuff that fell in people's houses near its center, but cool for me. First ever. Wowee.

First Aid/CPR class was taken today, and it felt like all day for real. Long and kind of boring, some was interesting, but they didn't get to the real good stuff, so I feel cheated. However, I do have official certification and all that, and am confident (maybe) to save someone's life. Neato.

Dinner at China Star with Summer Math people and some others... meaning fun and yum. Always a good combination.

So I've been doing good for myself here, and I'm ready to start on Monday with all new camp activities thank goodness, cause the office stuff is getting a little much already. How many letters can I cut out really? You couldn't even guess... :)

Movies Galore

So, so many movies.

First Elektra -- Didn't expect that much, and thus was only mildly entertained. I suppose it wasn't worth watching after all that, but what's done is done.

Office Space -- a movie I'd seen almost all of, just not together, and not in order, in other words I'd seen most of it on television at different points in time. The movie really wasn't that bad, was semi-funny, and it's nice to watch people screw up their lives. It's good to know other people can do it too.

Star Wars III -- after talking to many who'd seen it and complained about the dialogue, etc. I really can't say I cared that much for the dialogue, or even noticed except for the fact that all conversations seemed so unnatural. I liked it, and who cares if other people didn't, cause I thought it put some pieces well into place. Now, I won't say it did leave me with some other questions, some retarded ones in my opinion, but I guess it's George Lucas' choice to do it this way. I mean he is the head honcho, and he decided against making a 7, 8, and 9th episodes, a smart move in my opinion.

Other than movies, I've been shopping and feeding myself for the week, while doing odd tasks around the GirlScout Headquarters until the real stuff starts....

An interesting article...

In Tokyo, a Ghetto of Geeks

This is interesting. Why? Well it's a good idea and it seems to have happened, but I've never seen anything like it myself. However, I am curious as to what these girls think, who have to dress in the racy outfits, etc. Do you think they get paid more than the regular kind of waitress, or what's in it for them. Do people really like attracting so much attention in that way... do those men really become pedophiles? That is the question, and the article brings all this to light.

New favorite Comic

Speed Bump... it's too cool. Go to SpeedBump.com and check it out.

(I took the other out... why? Becuase it made the page look terrible...)

Another movie and Another place

Ok, so I watched... Taxi, yes, that's it. Entertaining if nothing else, but slightly humorous, but reminds me of too many other similar type movies with chases and the fastest cars, etc. Ok nonetheless.

Plus, I'm in California now, back at school almost all ready. Haha. Girl Scouts, here I come...

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and a note or two...

Yes, I saw the movie last night. It was cute and charming indeed, but wasn't serious as I obviously expected. It was funny, it was sad, and I remember reading something that the person doing this movie also did the TV show "freaks and geeks" which I liked too. So all in all I liked it, and wouldn't really give the go ahead for most others. It's sort of a watch at home type movie, but I'm glad I saw it anyway.

Stayed up even later last night finishing Me Talk Pretty One Day, because I sort of felt I owed it to David Sedaris, as I wouldn't/couldn't make the trip to go see him at Borders yesterday. Eh. Read about it all here.

XXX, not the porn kind...

Haha. So I watched this movie too, the second one that is with Ice Cube or something. Not as good as the first, which wasn't that good to begin with. So, entertaining? Perhaps, but worth anything? NO. Eh, life goes on and what's one bad movie to ruin it entirely... like that ever happens...

Raising Helen

Yes, I know, another chick movie. Well I've heard it all, but I am in fact female and thus allowed to indulge in all chick things, including movies, literature, and the best of course -- chocolate.

Anyway, the movie was cute to all accounts, nice story, colorful in its moments, and had some funny bits even through the death in the beginning. And never, never have I seen "Whip It" worked in so well. haha.

Deep Throat

I'm getting angry at the news, a very bad sign most of the time. Consider this (if you're totally news-deprived): We have the man who ratted out Nixon the president of all presidents, sworn with his news source to secrecy. But then, realizing money is at stake, he accepts Vanity Fair's offer, when the first and privvy reporter was for the Post. What a bunch of backstabbing idiots. Look and see what you've done Mr. Felt. He's put Mr. Woodward, the exposing journalist almost to shame, and as far as the family of Felt goes, well I just don't know. Seems too money-grabbing for so many years of silence, and some think him a hero.

I talked to my dad about it, wondering what people thought at that time, considering he was alive then, and he said that he couldn't really care one way or another. But he remembers people loving Nixon (I guess the peace signs really do it), and they were dissapointed to see their "all-american" boy shot to hell. And resigning after the whole fiasco nonetheless, something he had to do considering the amount of illegal activity going on at the time. So America is dissapointed at this "Deep Throat" character, a member of the political areas, seeing all the papers fly by, and telling the reporter - to follow the money.

It's always about the money isn't it? What a f-ing shame I say. Arg.

So, life goes on. Spent time yesterday with the same ole elementary school friends, dropped some off and Kristen and I spent way too much time investigating the new Harry Potter novel. Or book, or whatever it's called now-a-days. It's really fun spending time with them, different cause we were such good friends then too, or I've convinced myself of it. :) Other than that the day was great. Eating and talking about way too much chocolate is fine by me at all times of the day.

Today I got a haircut, and that was fun too. Fun? OK, maybe not fun, but it's done now and that's the long and short of it. Spent way too long on ebay, drove David to soccer, and ate. Too much eating for me, I'll say.

Needing to read more, cause I've paused or something, and also must get on with the movie watching. Was reading this Me Talk Pretty One Day, and found it interesting. But it's not finished, so I can't and won't give my last word yet, and certaintly not on the wrong blog anyway. (Visit the other and see). So, getting on with things, almost finished with Chicago for the moment, and ready for California already. Be there soon enough I'll say. Still need to find if I'm immunized up to date and all that, but don't want to go on a treasure hunt just yet.

Woodstock 1

This was amazing. I've been renewed into a The Who fan as well as starting to think about this whole thing. What was so different about that generation from ours? They had a war, we had a war? In the end most of them protested, whereas we did not. (We being the "we" meaning our generation). They had music like nothing else, and we have music too. It's interesting that it seems to me that their music united them all, for it "communicated" as the organizer of Woodstock would say. Does our music move a nation to travel all in the same direction? All against the grain? I wouldn't say so. I wonder if it really was all united back then, I mean, I know they were considered "freaks," but it just seems that since music has branched out, the people have branched out too. What really makes our generation I wonder? The only thing that really comes to mind is something like the space station. Sorry if it sounds geeky, but it's an interesting concept. I'd say that most of the nation, as well as some other international countries, have something vested in space. Look at the new Star Wars movie (which I haven't yet seen...), but really...

I just don't know. What makes them so different. Or are they really? All I remember is Woodstock 99, something about too much fire, violence, lack of water, and just too many people. How could they have met in the 60s for something like peace over three days, and in the rain no less. And musicians that could really ROCK.

At the end, I was told that there was more to this movie, that there were more parts, and that some performers were missing. Which isn't obvious considering three were in Woodstock 1. I think I'll save the rest for school, to enjoy not only by myself but with others who have a similar passion for music. Music of that time, wonderful, moving, emotional music. And to educate some others on what music is supposed to be.

Sorry about all the blabbering, but it's something that interests me. What makes us so different really? Where can we find the crack that split us all up? Or are we really united in some way or another? I just can't tell. What do you think?

The Automatic Millionaire by David Bach

A great book. Nothing literary, or moving, but just the ideas are right-on. Although I'm not of the age where making money is really an issue, nor is investing, buying a house, buying stock, or etcetc. It makes me think anyway, for as soon as I've got a job, I know what to do. This is a good book for when you're going into working, working for real -- full time with a retirement fund and all that. It would make a good gift in my opinion, and reading it now might be good as would reading it then. Fantabulous!

A lot to learn

Friday (yesterday) was a lot of fun, and interesting nonetheless. A nice lunch with another (imagine even another) old friend. Then some time spent in the house watching television, and a going to temple with Elaine. She wanted to experience Jewishness, and it was nice to go to temple in my opinion. Maybe I should go more often. It takes the strangest things to make one remember what something else means to someone, and I think that's what has happened. So maybe I do enjoy being Jewish.

Spent most of the night and some of the morning almost finished with a book. It should be posted up on BookBlog soon enough, once I finish the last few pages. If you ever needed a gift for someone who's going into a working field already, aka ready to begin setting up for life, this book would be the perfect gift. It almost makes me wish I was working with a 401k already. The best time to invest is while one is young, and here I am, young-ish, and ready.

Other than that... went through a whole bunch of old papers on my desk area, and found some interesting ones, and a whole lot of garbage. It's interesting to see what I've kept over the years. I'm such a pack rat it's incredible.

Finished Mr. 3000 a movie that probably doesn't merit much talking about it. A baseball player (Bernie Mac) who doesn't really have 3000 hits, but needs 3 more, and he finds what a team is all about in the end. Duh. A bit funny, comical and entertaining when there's nothing else to do. Recommended for anyone who is bored, or wants something so light and meaningless for a bit of laughter.

Book Blog

See the sidebar on the right for a link... or here. It's my great idea as I'm reading Polysyllabic Spree by Nick Hornby. And I'll be able to do real book review thingys there too. So read on, and there's a link back of course.

Watched Alfie

A movie about a man who loves women, a man who can't find himself anywhere, or anything he'd really like to be. I thought it was interesting, a sort of touching movie, but one that had its momentary bits of entertainment and laughter. It was a nice movie really, and could I recommend it? You know.. maybe. It really wasn't half bad considering. Aw, so cute. haha. On with things now.

another day, another dollar

or in this case another friend. It's really nice to see the people whom I'm glad to see are still friends. It's interesting to see how they've gone on in life, and the sadness I feel in finding that we haven't done as well in keeping touch as I had always hoped. So I'm making a new plan... a phone call to those who deserve one, maybe once every two weeks for sure. This should be great, something to keep me connected, and I promise to myself that if it feels like a burden, then it won't happen, and so be it.

Other than that, I talked to another friend and that was great too. I do like friends. It's nice to feel that somebody (or plural somebodies...) still cares/care. Aw.

Plans for tomorrow include reading and calling about the summer. Good thinking. Get a move on already I say... On with things.

Be Cool

So I just and finally finished the movie. I had watched the first half in the airport coming home, and the second half ending a few minutes ago. What do I think? Well there's something to say for Travolta and Uma Thurman once again together, but it was entertaining. No super great hit, but nice to watch and the music wasn't half bad. Lots of famous people, who I found myself saying, "Hmm. Why do they look so familiar..." And Steven Tyler. OK, so I did know who he was. Recommendation to others: Probably not. Unless you like Travolta for his dancing and a bit of silliness. That's all for now... carry on...

Bell School '00 Reunion

See for yourself...

A fun day, and a fabulous idea...

Yesterday was really a lot of fun. It's interesting to see how much one can really miss a few old friends, and what good friends they really are. Somethings we talked about made me think some, which isn't necessarily bad, that's what conversations are for aren't they? Anyway, we're having a bell school '00 room 305 reunion, and it's going to be great. And our planning is already taking shape, etc. So I'm ready and glad. Yay. That's about it for now, so I'll go on and think of somewhere that's an hour away (stupid me and the stupid car radio), and if you're home call, becuase I'm home too and I could use some more fun...

Another Movie

OK. So a fun day. And another movie checked off the list. Found Sky Captain and the World Of Tomorrow at the library, and I checked it right out. So the movie -- I'd say not bad. The cinematics were nice, it was plesant to look at, and the plot wasn't too bad. Some of it, a lot of it actually, was far-fetched, but it was still entertaining. And even more so would be quizzing Andreea on it. I didn't do that, but it would be entertaining anyway.. ask her yourself. Do I recommend this movie? Ask me on a personal basis, it really isn't for everyone, or you could just see for yourself. Good plans for tomorrow too hopefully, but we'll see how it all works out.

As far as going back to HMC goes - tickets have been bought. I guess I really do need to get on top of things better and more of the time, but thank goodness it's done. Off to do who knows what.

Writing in Airport

Ah. No posting here, due to the lack of internet. Yet a note might be necessary. The last few days at school were fun, no classes = lots of movie watching. I'm glad it was all fun and games, without the extra time devoted to work. LAX was a quick drive from campus, although the sleeping in the lounge until my flight wasn't that fun. I think I've learned my lesson not to wait until the very last day to purchase a ticket home.

Watched yesterday: October Sky, one of my favorite movies of all time. Why, you might ask. Well -- true stories always seem to make more sense, for their realism is touching. That's just my sentimental side anyway.

Other than that, LAX is quite nice, lending me electricity to watch the first half of Be Cool. Now that I've moved to a louder section of the airport, it's not as nice to watch due to the background noise. Little kids laughing and crying and screaming. What do parent's say nowadays about giving their kids something to put them to sleep on planes -> probably that it's not good. Well not good for everyone else that's for sure. Although maybe drugging others isn't always the best plan of action.

Other than that, I hope everyone's summer progresses well and I'll be at home for a while before returning to school, so if you're one of those people at home, feel free to call me right on up.

Good luck, and let the warmth be with you. haha.

just a feeling

A feeling. Like when you listen to a song, that brings you back to the past, to something horrible or wonderful or something that just warms you up inside or brings tears to your eyes. Emotion. A good thing for people, well yes I'd suppose. I mean how are people supposed to know how to act without them. But sometimes I just want to stop feeling them.

People have seen awful things, is it even right of me to feel so strongly in the same manner, when the magnitude of my life has been so much less? Maybe you just have to stop listening for a second, maybe it's more important to think. But thinking is too serious, serious enough to bring it all back, and then -- thanks brain, thanks a bunch.

Maybe I ought to get a hobby or two. Or sleep some more. Need less serious things on my mind. Oooh. And I hope being home will be fun. I need a good break, I need something... hopefully that I'll be able to find in old friends and old stories, and fun times. I remember, and my heart aches. Why can't it all be the same forever, why did I have to forget all my thoughts, why can't I just be sensible? Thinking back, this would be my worst nightmare, and maybe it will be when I get home, but let's hope that my minds moved on, and that I never really did write any of that thinking down, so I don't have to feel so horrible when I listen without hearing.

Coolest Thingy Ever!

Fun and Free. What more do you want.

oi.

Like I don't say that enough.

Watched Spaceballs, grace a Kenji. After Star Wars (Number 6, the "real" number 3...), it turned out to make sense I'd supposed. Although since I wasn't allowed to watch it before, I really can't judge. Anyway, the movie was allright, semi-funny at times indeed. And the others laughing was enough for me, really. haha.

Now I just have studying left. Arg. Studying. I hate that word. It all seems so pointless, for I really won't need this Chemistry like ever again, thank goodness.

Other than that I have guild wars to look forward to. Kenji's new interest in life. Haha to that. Like we don't have enough to talk about, we have this now. Every meal, every word, sometimes interesting, other times excessive. But the game, oh goodness, the game is fun. Too bad I have to study so I don't fail or do semi-poorly (which'll happen anyway).

I suppose it's inevitable the studying that is. On with it I say. So I guess I'll come up to breathe through my Bronchitis (almost gone hopefully) on Friday. I hope so anyway. Then to find somewhere for all the crap in my room when moving out. Goodbye, but not yet anyway.

events

So what have I been doing instead of studying you may ask?
   watching movies
   going to the mall
      not even buying anything...

I've seen National Treasure. My thoughts? It was just ok. Semi interesting, no matchstick men, and hence I'm dissapointed for him but that's alright too. Worth watching I suppose as a time waster, but not a recommendation, not really.

Also watched Fast Times at Ridgemont High. I thought this was supposed to be a defining movie for high schoolers. I'm dissapointed once again, this time in the whole deal, for it lacked anything really. The plot was bare, and exposing students (the supposed point) was stupid anyway. Like you didn't know about the sex, drugs, and rock and roll. C'mon already, like I haven't seen it all before.

Anyway...
That's really it for now. Back to organizing and thinking about packing. And not even studying....

more happiness. Posted by Hello

happyhappy Posted by Hello

Looks like it's some of us at Knott's Berry Farm. Spring Break again, it's just that I never put anything up. And it's good to post instead of working.... Posted by Hello

Look at us at Disneyland. Over Spring Break.... Posted by Hello

A list of things

A list of things (hence the title) is a good idea of me at this time:

Chem HW
Hum Presentation and Paper
E4 Paper (draft), Paper (final), and Presentation
Chem Quiz!

more Physics HW and Math HWs. not that bad considering.

I think the projects are all going ok with the exception of my coughing through them. But the music in the background is getting better with my new fabulously large hard drive. (Thanks Kenji... what a good chooser you are).

The summer plans are unfolding, or at least will unfold better after an important conversation that so needs to happen tomorrow. But housing is done, and a single with a kitchen over the summer for 10 weeks or so isn't that bad after all.

Just this coming week, with two (count them, two) dinners in the village for SWE and tour guiding. And then Presentations Days, Reading Days, and finally finals. Considering everything, it doesn't seem that long since the very beginning, and it's wrapping up quite nicely. At least I hope sleep is in the works somewhere. Ah.

Must just keep trudging on I'd suppose. On and on and on. With some sleep please please.

And a happy passover. (Without a seder. Makes me sad.) But hopefully Matzo Ball Soup later this week. Like on wednesday as a celebration for a wonderful Hum presentation. And a middle of the week celebration. whoohoo? We'll see.

Thursday, April 14, 2005

a hum paper

So. What do we do when we have a hum paper? hmm. Take a break. Listen to music. Clean the keyboard. (well it was the slightest bit gratifying.) I think the smell was also kinda interesting too. Haha. Sorry for that note. Anyway...

It's getting done. I really do promise. And after this just comes pre-frosh weekend, lots of typing ribbons for tomorrow, an interview for the summer, and on and on.

Ever wonder what happens to people when they don't do anything? Well it's coming up soon. Haha. Like never. But school is almost ending, right after two projects and many finals. And then... some other different kind of stuff to do.

And just keep my mind off things for now? The hum paper. Back to it, is what I say.

Go on go on now.

Enlightenment? I think not.

So, much to my chagrin, or maybe not, I saw the "first" star wars movie (IV). I suppose I was to be enlightened, or amazed, or... some other emotion of the sort, but I thought it interesting. I also suspect that I didn't pick up on stuff from the 2nd movie, becuase I am much confused. But I still know what happens. And I guess I'm assimilating into that type of culture? Perhaps.

I also got to see Emperor's New Groove. Interesting. But I think a bad choice for the class considering that it's not mass marketed. Eh. And I hope the movie showing was OK for the rest of the class, and kind missed missing it. But I was sunning at the beach. With my cousin for the last time in L.A. Too bad I've got a few bad burns, yet it figures. From skiing on the face, from the beach on the places I forgot and couldn't reach. Eh.

Now I've just got lots to do. Regular homework as well as a hum paper for friday. Life goes on. Hopefully I'll hear about the summer soon, and let that be. Not to mention the calls I've still not made. Sorry all.

Hope everyone is ready for the end. hoorah.

doi

So the mess of today has all been fixed. And tomorrow's will come. In due time.

Anyway, trying to figure out what's most important at this given moment, some work or some sleep.... and on and on.

Either way, I've got lots of stuff to do, people to call (sorry if you're one of those people, I'm getting to it), things to fill out, things to research, read, study. Oh boy.

But life goes on, I hope less hectic and disturbing for you then it is for me. That's always a good thing. Besides that, have more and more hopes for summer plans, all of which are oddly forming I'd hope, or at least I'm helping them along. Let that be that for now.

And Hun - I do love Harry Potter, however I do understand the importance of reading the other important bits for class. But research is top priority at this point, and reading passages out of the books that isn't required just won't fit at this moment in time.

Have fun!

Thursday, March 24, 2005

oops

So I didn't really put up anything new. Sorry people. But I'm sure you're living well and fine and all that jazz.
Interesting really, it's almost like another break this weekend, but too bad I have to finish up this hum paper. But it's fun writing about children's books, it really is. I know that some people all over have these lame and boring humanities and literature classes, but the one I have is really cool. Not to make you all feel bad or anything. Just that it's not so bad. And for me, thats a fabulous thing.

Got lots of things to do this weekend, including homework. But hanging out with cousins is fun. I'm so glad they're fun. Otherwise, I suppose it'd be a buzzkill.

Anyway, back to writing the paper, and then off to lectureS. Ah. The two of them really have that double sided blade. Of killing while I'm sleeping, and then later, when I fail. Oops.

Anyway, just get on with your lives and stop reading this.

Duh. haha.

Tuesday, March 22, 2005

haha

Check this out. And note the interesting things Elaine... no protesting this time.

http://localbrand.net/

I'm boring

So I've done a poll.

It's true.

I AM boring.

Jeez. Or my blog. Same difference. But I'm not boring. So that's ok.
Anyway, I still have to post more interesting stuff, so when I get back to my room, or perhaps tomorrow, I'll post some serious business up.

Hoorah.

blogging?

Is it a good thing or a bad thing?

Well, as some people think their own sites are semi-private, I think they have the wrong idea. It's totally public, only private if no one, and I mean no one knows. But then it's kind of silly. Isn't it nice to write loads of nonesense to find out that someone reads and cares. Or maybe not cares... but that's besides the point.

Other than that, all is well. Spring break was very interesting in that school finally stopped. At least for some of us. Went out to have fun at the Knott's Berry Farm place. Funny pictures and all that thanks to Tia, and hopefully, or maybe not hopefully Disneyland this Saturday. And the zoo on Friday, and with my cousin today. Doesn't seem all that bad to me. And having no class, and an alomst deserted school is neat. But home with its food would have been appealing too. Ah well. I'm here, and here I'll stay.

That's about all for now, whoo. An update. After so long. ...

dum dum dum.

Sunday, February 20, 2005

long

So it's been quite a while, and I've gotten just a bit lazy. OK, maybe not lazy. But more busy. Lots of classes, lots of homework, and even a dance class at night sometimes. Along with AE at night, it all makes for a bit of a hectic time. But I'm still having fun and thats the important thing. And that I'm not yet failing out. Always a positive thing. Be optimistic. Even though it has been pouring for quite a while, and I think it's to continue. And they don't know anything about drains. Where's the sewer? There is none. Oi.

So life goes on. Wet. Icky. And kind of chilly. still icky.

Thursday, January 27, 2005

almost the weekend

I am so ready. The week was over after wednesday lab anyway. I'm ready for a break, and to be better for the coming week. Still have some stuff to do, nominal anyway. Limits are fun? haha.

So it should be fun, and apparently creating Yu-Loung's schedule should be fun. If only he could tell me how to be more effective. I think I need to learn all of those 7 habits, for I currently possess none. eep. That's about it. Have a good little break. And then back to work. Goodluck.

Monday, January 24, 2005

end of week

So the end of the week, and the lovely warm weekend, signifies another week beginning. Which should be ok. or something resembling an OK.

The Worst Day is Coming...

So... apparently some hotshots figured out, ahem - calculated, the worst day of the year. It's coming on this very Monday. Neat huh? Also note the neat acronyms in the article, SAD being the Winter Depression Disorder and so on.

I'm ready. Are you?

haha. Worst Day Article Here. Just Click.

Thursday, January 20, 2005

hoorah

School is fun. Not bad at all. Not stressed yet. Had a nice night-time activity filled with people, frozen yogurt, people, books, people. Fun for all. That's it for now. Back to the reading. hehe.

Monday, January 17, 2005

back

It's interesting in fact, but I am really back. School remains to seem the same, but I'll see all about that during classes tomorrow. Unpacked and am now ready. Well, sort of ready to any extent.

School is fun. I have to keep telling myself that. Here we go. Whoosh.

Was Fun

Saw tons of people whom I used to know, and of course still do. Saw In Good Company, which was good. Did the typical eating thing, twice this time. Said happy birthday to Irene for her birthday, which is coming up soon. Gave presents out appropriately.

Today went shopping. Bought tons of things, some crap, some not. Fun either way. Now I've got packing and forms left to do. My favorite things in the world. And collected quarters from my dad's stash for laundry. hehe. "collected."

And I'm almost done with Hostile Hospital, so this is good too. And I think I read it before. Eep. A few more to read after it. Or something like that.

Friday, January 14, 2005

Lotsa fun

Had lots of fun yesterday walking around in the snow with Anna downtown. Even if the snow hurt my face. Hehe. Went to Newberry Library after reading the book Time Traveler's Wife, but unfortunately we weren't as obsessed as the other lady on the tour. Anyhow it was fun, and we did shopping, or mock shopping, etc, and eating of course. A typical fun day. And I was early. But that's besides the point, becuase I waited inside the train station so it wasn't cold, only the slightest bit creepy. Hoorah.

And today should be fun once it gets started and once the plans unfold in the correct manner.

Wednesday, January 12, 2005

The Days

These are the days when I should be doing something. Eh.

Anyway.... interesting news? The bank is all messed up. I got papers in the mail trying to have me buy wigs for my salon. Do I have a salon? Do I not have any hair and need a wig? If anyone does, please feel free to email me and I'll forward the appropriate information. haha.

Saw "Garden State" the movie. I can't say at this point whether it was excellent or not. But I do have to agree with Anna and say that the music was good. An interesting entertainment moment at any rate. Now it must be returned. And all that crap about no late fees is a lie. I read all the little print. Hey- I had nothing else to do. Toodles for now then.

Kite Runner

Wow. I haven't read a book like this for a long time. But I have to say that everyone who said this book was super was right. Well written, touching, and the fact of reality behind it although it is fiction. It's amazing the things that happens to people, the things they instigate, and the way people look at the different situations. Ah. Read it yourself, as it is truly touching and worthwhile.

And if you didn't know what it was about - it's about a man from Afghanistan. And the series of events that make up his life. Eh. Just go to amazon.com to find out for yourself.

New News

So there really isn't any new news. Kinda a catchy title to any extent. Still snow outside, they somehow keep refusing to plow our block. Makes me want to not leave the house. Ah. Eh. Started reading a new book, should keep me occupied for quite a while.

Watched the entirety of the movie Labyrinth which wasn't bad at all. A semi-older kind of movie, with David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly. A movie for children that kept me entertained. And longer than I ever would have expected.

Ah... and something else I've found on the internet - examine fattest city number 5. haha.

Upward, not Northward

So Flatland has been finished. And I do have to say that it was interesting and held my attention. Except for that nap halfway through. Haha. Good good book. And I feel a bit accomplished. Enlightened? Maybe not. I did already understand the concept of space, and the need for the additional dimensions, or the space within in memory for them.

AH. Life goes on.

Flatland

So I haven't yet finished Flatland, but I'm well on my way. An interesting book by any extent, and thanks to Tia for the fabulous idea. Not bad at all I must say, good book taste. Where the music taste went however... haha. Anyway. I'll tell more when it's all finished up.

Something I'd thought was slightly humorous:
What therefore "introduction" is among the higher classes in Spacelend, that the process of "feeling" is with us. "Permit me to ask you to feel and be felt by my friend Mr. So-and-so" - is still, among the more old-fashioned of our country gentlement in districts remote from towns, the customary formula for a Flatland introduction.

snow

so... there's snow. and it's cold. and it's hard to drive. especially hard to drive. getting stuck outside of the garage wasn't exactly the highlight of the day.

However - I did get to hang out with two old friends - or still friends, Megan and Elaine. Yup. Ate, saw movies and ate again. Typical, but fun.

Got to get the snow to melt now so I can go back to everyday stuff. Like hanging out in my house. Eh. So be it. Let the snow melt and the plans begin.

Daily Activities

Encompassed by being lazy once again. Saw "Stage Beauty" and "Shattered Glass" today. Movies. Interesting I'd say. The second being more serious than the first, about fabricating articles.

Nothing fabulous. Must get to my stack of books anyway. One of them ought to be great great.

A book I need to read? Oi. Check the site yourself for a description. I think this could turn out to be a good thing or perhaps a bad thing. Reading is good, but if I read this book it might inspire me to take a turn for the worse. Reading all things great. Hmm....

Book Lust: Chick Lit

Books to read? Maybe, if I'm ever in the mood. I have read some - and it's not like they were poor pieces of literature per se.

Thought it was interesting enough to post, and I found the librarian thing here too. Check the post below to see that!

Something kind of neat.. huh?
And funny looking...

But check out the neat quote: (stolen from the site)

I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library.

Change

Time for a change don't you think?

So I did it and it's done. I kinda like it. But that's my opinion as usual. Biased and the like.

And I realized how much fun junk can be. I found a bag full on my desk, apparently from "cleaning" before I left. Neato. Too bad I can barely make myself throw stuff away. Aw.

ok - another

So I just couldn't help myself to write another. Break should still be fun, yada-yada, but sometimes don't you feel different now. I think I just do. Out of the loop or something. Everyone's got their own stuff going on, as they should - not that I believe otherwise, but it still makes everything seem different. Have "we", the universal "we", changed? Is it really just me? Or is it something beyond me, something that I couldn't even expect. Oh. Darn. I think this is a book's doing as usual. And what about evil do you ask? haha. Don't even bother.

It's just a feeling... I don't really get it and everything. Life goes on. Carry on.

hmph

So apparently I'm not so on top of things. Eh. Sorry to anyone who I didn't write or didn't call. eep. And I didn't even write here... but now I am. There you go. HMPH.

So back at home once more, two weeks to relax and have a nice time. I only hope that I do have a nice time. Lots of city stuff to enjoy, cause I think that's what I've been missing.

Have a nice break, and enjoy the time till classes resume. Sounds good huh? :)
